Russian Ag Ministry sees grain harvest at 100–105 mln tns ‘17
MOSCOW, Jun 29 (PRIME) – Russia will harvest 100–105 million tonnes of grain in 2017, Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachyov told reporters on Thursday.
“I hope very much that it will be a little lower (than in 2016) but there will be enough grain for the purposes of food and feed, seeds and exports. I think, about 100-105 million tonnes. This is less than last year, the record one, but it is due to natural, objective reasons,” Tkachyov said.
Russia yielded 120.7 million tonnes of grain in net weight in 2016, including 73.3 million tonnes of wheat.
